Step-by-Step Ways to Style Afro

Step 1: To style afro natural hairstyle, begin by washing your hair, and make sure it is detangled. The goal is to make sure that your hair is neat and hasn’t accumulated any product buildup.

Step 2: After washing, apply a leave-in conditioner to wet your hair for moisture and dehydration. You should also add a small amount of oil to maintain the moisture and reduce frizz.

Step 3: The next step is to divide your hair into 8 or more below (depending on how full your hair is) twists. Although this is optional, to make the afro styling easy for you to do and stretch your hair a little, it is best. Then allow your hair to dry.

Step 4: Once the twists are partially dry, unravel them gently. Make sure that the twists are not totally dry before you unravel them. This technique is called a twist out and it will help you to create more defined curls and texture within your afro.

Step 5: Finally, after twisting out, use your fingers or a wide-toothed comb to fluff and shape your hair. You have to gently separate and lift the curls to create volume and give your afro some shape.

Step-by-step Ways to Style TWA

Step 1: The first step to take when you want to style TWA is to wash your hair. You need to make sure that you wash it till it becomes deeply saturated to ensure that the water can enter your hair strands.

Step 2: After you wash, the next step is to detangle your hair with a wide-toothed comb. When you are detangling, make sure that your hair is well-saturated with water or a good product that can serve you and it can be both water and product. Just ensure your hair isn’t dry when doing it.

Step 3: After detangling, apply a small amount of shampoo to cleanse your scalp but this is only if it is dirty. To do this, you will gently use your fingernails to wash your scalp thoroughly to avoid itching or buildup. When you are done, rinse it well with water.

Step 4: The next step is to apply a very nice conditional. It does not matter if it is specifically designed for curly hair. Just make sure you apply the conditional all over your scalp and hair strands. Afterwards, leave it for a few minutes for the hair to absorb the moisture before you wash.

Step 5: What to do next is to define your curls and create the TWA look. To do this, apply a curl-enhancing cream or gel to your hair focusing on defining each coil. Then use your fingers ( basically your index finger and your thumb) to twirl your hair around and form curls. However, to form the coil all over your hair, you need to keep applying your enhancing cream products as you form your curls.
