1. Get to know the cheapest sites to buy clothes

How to be a fashionista on a budget

If you don’t want to end up spending a huge amount of money on an outfit, you have to do thorough research on cheap online shopping sites

Brands are far more expensive than others. So you need to research what designers and brands are out there, and research their prices, then compare. As a fashion enthusiast, I do this a lot, and it has helped me to look great on a budget for many days.

The key takeaway:

If you want to fashion on a budget, you don’t have to buy an outfit from a particular brand because your favorite fashionista bought her recent clothes from the brand. Look for cheaper sites and get a similar outfit.

2. Master coupon and discount times

Most fashion sites out there have their clearance moment. They also have deals for coupons whereby you can get the item at a reduced price through a referral.

If you want to look great on a budget, you need the coupon and discount moments in your schedule. You need to be checking your favourite sites time by time to know when they have the clearance or discount sales.

This method can help you buy a $93 outfit at $52 or below. My favourite site for this tip is Flamingo. They often have moments to buy outfits as low as $2. So, this tip is always a lot of money saving that will sweeten you.

Bonus: If you master this tip, you can always buy on a budget from popular fashion brands like Zara and Shein and wear the same outfit as your favorite fashionistas.

The key takeaway:

If you want to look great on a budget with this tip, you must accept that you will not be wearing trendy outfits most often since you may buy yours very late.

3. Learn to DiY old Clothes

If you want to achieve a look, but you are too broke or you can’t afford to buy the outfit to achieve the look, you can DiY your old clothes and recreate them.

For example, you can learn how to make your own crop top if you need one for summer days. Also, you can DIY any type of cloth. All you need is to be creative and familiar with Pinterest DIY(s).

The key takeaway:

If you want to dress on a budget with this tip, you should only use dresses that you think are no more useful to you or that you have worn many times.

4. Invest in basic outfits

Basic outfits are a must-have for every fashion lover, especially those who want to fashion on a budget.

These are the type of outfits that are essential for every wardrobe and they go with literally anything combinable. They are perfect for any occasion and can take your fashion sense beyond “just a girl.”

If you invest in basic outfits, you won’t see the need to break your bank to look good. So this tip is a plus!

The key takeaway:

You must research and get well familiar with basic outfits to avoid you from investing in the wrong outfits.

5. You should know how to switch up looks

For every lady who wants to know how to be a fashionista on a budget, they must first of all learn and admire to be creative.

If you are creative with outfits that you have, be it expensive ones or cheap ones, you will be able to look great on a budget. In other words, creative fashionistas learn to look fancy with the few outfits they have.

They do this by mixing and matching and switching up looks. To do this, you must be able to wear the same mummy jeans or shirts as if you just bought new ones. This way, no one would see that you have few clothes or you are dressing on a budget.

The key takeaway:

For this tip, you need to start reading fashion posts from various fashion websites to get different switch up looks ideas.
